The SK-DUCT-W is an addressable duct smoke detector housing for mounting in HVAC air handling unit ductwork. It accommodates compatible SK-series detector heads and reports to the Silent Knight 5820XL or 6500 series fire alarm control panels (a Honeywell brand) via the SK protocol SLC. Per NFPA 72, duct smoke detectors initiate HVAC shutdown to prevent smoke recirculation throughout a building. Check the installed detector head model for specific duct airflow and sampling tube requirements.
