The Gamewell-FCI ASD-PL3-IV is the ivory variant of the Velociti Series 3 photoelectric smoke detector. It pairs the re-engineered UL 268 7th Edition optical chamber of the ASD-PL3 with backwards-compatibility for the legacy CLIP protocol, so it can serve as a drop-in replacement on systems that still carry CLIP-protocol detectors on the loop.
Each detector occupies one address on a Gamewell-FCI loop and reports continuous temperature data back to the panel. Rotary decimal switches set addresses from 01 to 159. Dual bicolor LEDs provide 360 degree visibility (green on poll, red on alarm).
Direct replacement for the legacy ASD-PL2F
The ASD-PL2F (Velociti Series 2 photoelectric, CLIP-only) is end-of-life. The ASD-PL3-IV is the correct successor for installations still running CLIP detectors: it speaks both Velociti and CLIP, so it can join an existing CLIP loop without forcing a wholesale loop conversion. Do not substitute the white ASD-PL3 (Velociti-only) on a CLIP loop, protocol mismatch will leave the address unresponsive.
Compatible panels: E3 Series, S3 Series, GWF-7075
E3 Series and S3 Series panels handle both Velociti and CLIP, so the ASD-PL3-IV fits either protocol mode on those panels. The GWF-7075 supports Velociti only, installing an ASD-PL3-IV there works in Velociti mode but the CLIP fallback never activates on that panel.
Why ivory instead of white
Ivory is the legacy finish for older Gamewell-FCI / FCI installations. It exists primarily so retrofit jobs do not leave a single white detector in a ceiling full of ivory ones. Specs are identical to the white ASD-PL3, sensitivity, mounting, base compatibility all match.

UL Listed S2332 under UL 268 7th Edition. FM Approved 3023594. CSFM 7272-1703:0501. MEA FDNY COA-219-02-E Vol. VI. ISO 9001 certified manufacturing.
Base required, sold separately
The detector head ships without a base. Typical pairings: B501-IV (ivory 4-inch flangeless) for surface flush, B300-6-IV (ivory 6-inch flanged) for legacy ceiling boxes. Ivory bases match the detector finish; white bases also fit but break the ceiling-color match.
