Protectowire linear heat detection (LHD) systems use proprietary PHSC-Series cable that responds to heat anywhere along its length, making them suitable for long-run applications in cable trays, conveyor belts, tunnel linings, and transformer rooms where point detectors cannot provide adequate coverage. The WAW-P connector is a field-assembly wire accessory designed for joining two PHSC cable sections at intermediate points in a detection run. All splices must be made using Protectowire-specified hardware to preserve UL listing and FM approval for the complete detection circuit.
