The Gamewell-FCI MCH-6 is a mounting chassis for the Multi-Mod monitor module family. It holds six MMI-10F modules, when populated, that is sixty supervised IDCs in a single mounting assembly. The chassis fits inside the Gamewell-FCI MBB-6 backbox (12.63 × 24 × 6.5 inches) or any custom cabinet sized to accept it.

The MCH-6 is sold without modules, it is the metalwork plus backplane that lets the Multi-Mod family scale into high-density configurations. Buy modules separately based on the IDC count and wiring class the install requires.

Why an enclosure chassis exists for Multi-Mod

The Multi-Mod modules are larger than the standard AMM/AOM form factor (6.8 × 5.8 × 1.25 inches per module). At six modules in one cabinet, the chassis handles mechanical mounting, terminal-block alignment, and wire-routing in a way that loose-module install does not. For deployments needing more than two modules, MCH-6 + MBB-6 (or custom cabinet) is the recommended pattern.

When MCH-6 isn't the right answer

If the install needs one or two Multi-Mod modules, the MBB-2 backbox (without chassis) is sufficient and cheaper. The MCH-6 only pays off when the module count justifies the cabinet size, typically a panel room or telecom closet, not a ceiling-mounted device location.
