The Gamewell-FCI ASD-PL3-BP is a 10-count bulk pack of the ASD-PL3 Velociti Series 3 photoelectric smoke detector. The packaging is the only difference between the BP and the single-unit ASD-PL3, the detectors inside are identical in spec, listing, and firmware.

Each detector occupies one address on a Gamewell-FCI Velociti loop. The optical chamber meets UL 268 7th Edition with sensitivity programmable per panel software. Rotary decimal switches set addresses from 01 to 159, and dual bicolor LEDs give 360 degree visibility (green on poll, red on alarm).

When to specify the bulk pack instead of singles

The bulk pack is sized for new-construction floors or full-system installs where ten or more detectors land in the same loop count. Pricing per unit is lower than the single-pack equivalent, and shipping consolidates into one carton instead of ten. For single-detector retrofits or break-fix replacements, order the regular ASD-PL3 instead.

Compatible panels: E3 Series, S3 Series, GWF-7075

All ten detectors run on Velociti protocol. E3 Series and S3 Series panels speak Velociti natively. GWF-7075 supports Velociti but not CLIP, relevant only when mixing this loop with -IV detectors.

Bases required, sold separately

Detector heads ship without bases. Each detector needs its own base, most installs use B501-WHITE (4-inch flangeless) or B300-6 (6-inch flanged). Order bases in the same count as detectors. Sounder, isolator, and relay bases from the B200 and B224 series are also compatible if the loop design calls for them.
