The Gamewell-FCI AMM-4SF is a Velociti® Series addressable monitor module designed for conventional 2-wire smoke detector loops. The IDC provides supervised power to up to 20 conventional 2-wire smoke detectors and reports any alarm condition to the panel under a single SLC address. The IDC is jumper-configurable Class A (Style D) or Class B (Style B).

Beyond 2-wire smokes, the IDC also accepts normally-open dry contacts: heat detectors, linear heat detection lines, 4-wire smokes, manual stations, waterflow, tamper. Visual rotary decimal switches set the address (01 to 159). Bi-color LED: green poll-flash, red on activation.

Purpose-built for 2-wire smoke loops

The AMM-4SF is the right module when an addressable system needs to integrate an existing 2-wire conventional smoke loop without rewiring each detector to its own address. The module supplies the 2-wire current and stays in alarm while a single detector is activated, until the panel commands a reset. 3.9 kΩ EOL resistor (vs 47 kΩ on the dry-contact AMM-2F / AMM-4F).

Line-resistance trade-off vs AMM-4F

Maximum line resistance per IDC is 25 Ω (vs 40 Ω on AMM-4F). The lower budget accommodates the 2-wire smoke power load, at 40 Ω the smokes would brown out. Plan loop routing accordingly. For supported 2-wire detector models, see Gamewell-FCI Compatibility Addendum P/N 9000-0427-L8.
