Distributed-audio amplifier for INX nodes

The 1100-0456 (AM-50-25) is the 50-watt 25 VRMS distributed-audio amplifier used in E3 Broadband INX transponder nodes. Each amplifier drives two speaker circuits in Style Y (Class B) or Style Z (Class A) wiring. Up to four AM-50 amplifiers populate a standard INX node, maximum 150 W audio plus 50 W standby per node.

AM-50-25 (25 VRMS) vs AM-50-70 (70.7 VRMS)

Two amplifier voltage variants exist. The AM-50-25 outputs at 25 VRMS, the common North American distributed-audio voltage for shorter speaker runs and lower-power-per-speaker installs. The AM-50-70 (manufacturer P/N) outputs at 70.7 VRMS, used for longer speaker runs and high-density speaker installations where 25 V would drop too much over distance. Two speaker circuits per amplifier

Each AM-50-25 drives two independent speaker circuits, each Style Y or Style Z. This gives an INX node with four amplifiers eight independent speaker circuits, typically enough to zone an entire building floor with separate paging paths for general areas, stairwells, and fire-fighter-only zones.
