Voice paging from the command center

The 1100-0452 (INCC-MIC) is the paging microphone module that lets the operator at the INCC command center speak directly over the E3 Broadband distributed audio path. The signal routes from the microphone through the INI-VGC voice gateway, across the ARCNET network to INX transponder nodes, and out through the AM-50 amplifiers to the speaker circuits.

When voice paging matters

Three driver scenarios: (1) building emergencies requiring specific instructions beyond the pre-recorded evacuation message (severe weather, lockdown, alternate egress routing), (2) general non-emergency announcements (closing time, public address), (3) post-event coordination with first responders and building staff. The INCC-MIC is the hardware that makes all three possible.

Mounting and INCC integration

The module occupies one inner-door slot in the INCC C or D cabinet. Connects to the INI-VGC via the inner-door wiring harness. The microphone itself is a balanced-input handheld unit mounted at the command position next to the touchscreen and switch banks.
