Duct smoke detectors monitor the air moving through HVAC ductwork and initiate shutdown or alarm signals when smoke is present in the airstream. The SD365R uses a photoelectric chamber optimized for duct environments, where airflow velocities and smoke concentrations differ from open-area sensing. It mounts to a duct housing (sold separately) and connects to an addressable SLC panel using LiteSpeed protocol, providing individual point identification at the fire alarm control panel.
