Surface-mount annunciator backboxes are specified when the wall construction does not permit flush installation of a remote LCD or LED annunciator — typically masonry walls, finished walls without an in-wall cavity, or retrofit projects where cutting the wall is not acceptable. The SBA-10 provides the steel enclosure, mounting points, and conduit knockouts required to terminate the annunciator wiring neatly behind the front door. It pairs with the Fire-Lite ANN-Series family of remote annunciators commonly used at building entrances, security desks, and fire command rooms for firefighter status display.
