Rate-of-rise heat detectors respond to rapid increases in ambient temperature rather than relying solely on a fixed threshold. The H365R-IV activates when temperature climbs faster than 15°F per minute, making it sensitive to fast-developing fires while tolerating normal temperature fluctuations in kitchens, mechanical rooms, and other warm environments. The ivory color variant is selected when the white version contrasts too sharply with the surrounding finish in occupied spaces. The interchangeable base system allows field substitution between sensor head types without disturbing existing SLC wiring, and the head communicates with Fire-Lite addressable panels using LiteSpeed or CLIP protocols.
