In large buildings and campuses, NFPA 72 and local fire codes may require fire command capability at locations beyond the primary fire command center — such as lobby security desks, loading dock offices, or secondary stairwell entrances. The ECC-RM remote microphone extends the voice paging capability of the ECC system to a secondary station, allowing an authorized operator to initiate live announcements to selected audio zones without accessing the main console. Zone selection and microphone priority must be configured during system design and commissioning.
