The 25-volt distributed audio standard is used in smaller commercial fire alarm voice evacuation systems or in installations where 70-volt wiring is not required by design. The ECC-50W-25V provides 50 watts of amplified 25 V output within the ECC chassis and is used in place of the 70V variant when the speaker system is designed around 25-volt tap impedance values. Amplifier module selection (25 V vs. 70 V) must be consistent with the speaker tap wattage ratings selected during system design, and the total connected speaker wattage must not exceed the module's rated output capacity.
