Relay output modules installed in fire alarm annunciators allow the panel to switch low-voltage circuits in response to alarm or supervisory conditions. Common applications include magnetic door holder release, HVAC shutdown, elevator recall, and auxiliary notification circuits. The ANN-RLY slots into the annunciator chassis and is supervised by the fire alarm control panel, so an open or short on the relay output circuit is reported as a trouble condition per NFPA 72 requirements.
